Wallace State prepares for Lions’ Pride fall orientation

HANCEVILLE – Wallace State Community College mailed out letters this week, inviting incoming new students to its annual Lions’ Pride orientation sessions. Wallace State conducts a Lions’ Pride information session before each semester, but the one preceding the fall semester attracts the most students.
Each incoming Wallace State student is invited to a specific date, tailored toward their program of study. Sessions are scheduled this summer from June 16-19 and June 23-26.
The sessions are designed for students to get an early acquaintance with Wallace State and to help ease their transition into college. Students are introduced to all the opportunities at the college, along with financial aid options, and are allowed to sit one-on-one with an advisor to build their schedules for the upcoming semester.
