HANCEVILLE, Ala. — Wallace State Community College and The Evelyn Burrow Museum are offering the opportunity to ring in the New Year in Paris. France’s capital city is the final stop on an eight-day trip that starts off in London.
The trip is open to the public as well as Wallace State students. The travelers will depart from Birmingham on Dec. 27, 2014, and return on Jan. 3, 2015.
Three days will be spent in London, touring famous landmarks including Big Ben, Windsor Castle and St. Paul’s Cathedral. One full day is set aside as free time for travelers to enjoy their own pursuits.
From London the group will travel by Eurostar train to Paris to spend three days visiting landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Versailles, the Louvre and Notre Dame Cathedral. The first day in Paris falls on New Year’s Eve.
The cost of the trip is around $3,000 per person and covers round-trip airfare and on-tour transportation, lodging, admissions to included attractions and guided tours.
