HANCEVILLE, Ala. — The deadline to sign up for a New Year’s holiday trip to London and Paris has been extended, and a discount offered for those who enroll by Sept. 8.
Wallace State Community College and The Evelyn Burrow Museum are planning the eight-day trip from Dec. 27, 2014, to Jan. 3, 2015. The trip is open to the public as well as Wallace State faculty, staff and students.
The enrollment deadline has been extended to Sept. 23, with a $200 discount offered to those who sign up through Sept. 8. (Those enrolled already also receive the discount.) Those who sign up by Sept. 1 can take advantage in the three-month payment plan. Otherwise, full payment is due by Sept. 23 to avoid a late fee. Enrollment and program costs are not guaranteed after Sept. 23, due to space limitations and fluctuations in travel costs.
The cost of the trip is less than $3,000 per person and covers round-trip airfare and on-tour transportation, lodging, admissions to included attractions and guided tours. Daily breakfasts and select local dinners are also included.
The group will depart Dec. 27, from Birmingham for an overnight flight to London, England, where they will spend three days touring famous landmarks including Big Ben, Windsor Castle and St. Paul’s Cathedral. One full day is set aside as free time for travelers to enjoy their own pursuits or take advantage of an optional excursion to Oxford.
From London the group will travel by Eurostar train to Paris for New Year’s Eve and spend three days visiting landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Versailles, the Louvre and Notre Dame Cathedral.
