Corporate Membership offered by Wallace State Alumni Association

HANCEVILLE, Ala. — The Wallace State Community College Alumni Association is now offering Corporate Memberships to local businesses and industries, with numerous benefits that can far exceed the cost of investing in a student’s education. The are three levels of membership opportunities from which to choose, with each offering benefits that equal more than half the value of the membership’s annual subscription.
“We have a wonderful relationship with the businesses and industries in our area,” said LaDonna Allen, Alumni and Special Projects Coordinator, “a good number of whom are faithful supporters of our efforts to help deserving students continue their education. Our new Corporate Membership program, I think, will build on those relationships and help us welcome new supporters, all the while providing them with some wonderful perks for their business.”
The membership levels include Advocate, Statesmen and Lion, and all can be customized for each member. All of the levels offer free exhibit space at the annual Spring WSCC Job Fair, the opportunity to discuss curriculum and workforce issues with the college president and deans at an annual workforce development meeting, the opportunity to host a recruiting event for students in targeted majors either at WSCC or the member’s company, and be listed as a corporate sponsor with logos and links on the Alumni Association webstite/events/newsletter.
The Lion Member level is $500, and offers all of the above benefits as well as two annual memberships to the Alumni Association, one free registration at the annual Developing Corporate Leadership Symposium, and one job announcement per year to be featured in the Alumni Association newsletter (15,000+ emails per quarter). Those benefits equal at least a $350 return on the investment.
The Statesman Member level is $1,500 and includes six memberships to the Alumni Association, one free seat at the Student Investment Luncheon, one free registration at the annual Developing Corporate Leadership Symposium, free exhibit space at one event sponsored by the Alumni Association, up to two job announcements per year, an additional listing as a corporate sponsor on the WSCC electronic board, a $250 scholarship in the company name that can be designated to a specific major, and a sign in the Coliseum where more than 100,000 people come through every year listing the company as an Alumni Association Corporate sponsor. There is at least a $725 turn on the investment.
Benefits at the Advocate Member level include 10 memberships to the Alumni Association, two free seats at the Student Investment Luncheon, two free registrations at the annual Developing Corporate Leadership Symposium, up to three job announcements per year, the additional listing as a corporate sponsor on the WSCC electronic board, a $500 scholarship in the company name that can be designated for a specific major, and a sign in the Coliseum listing the company as an Alumni Association Corporate sponsor. There is at least $1,150 in membership benefits at this $2,500 Advocate Member level.
“Our goal is to provide our Corporate Members valuable benefits and opportunities while at the same time continuing our efforts in providing scholarships to students who need a little extra help in fulfilling their dream of a college education,” Allen said. “I think we’ve accomplished that with these Corporate Membership packages that can fit almost any budget and can be customized to better suit the needs of the business.”
