Wallace State Career Services Job Fair draws heavy interest from both employers, students

HANCEVILLE, ALA. – As a criminal justice student, Alex Santos browsed Wallace State’s Career Services Job Fair with much interest this week, especially since multiple police departments and law enforcement agencies were in attendance.
“This Job Fair is a great opportunity for us and makes it easier to make connections and see what we may want to do upon graduating,” said Santos, an Attalla native.
Santos was among the steady stream of Wallace State students to visit the Career Services Job Fair.
Molly Raisanen is also a criminal justice major and echoed the same sentiments at Santos.
“I’ve thought about becoming a game warden, so this is a great way to gain more knowledge and see if that’s the right path. There are so many opportunities to consider,” Raisanen said.
In addition to multiple law enforcement agencies, Wallace State’s Career Services welcomed a variety of employers on hand, including healthcare services and professionals and four-year universities.
“I was pleased with the turnout from both the employers and students. It’s always exciting to see students making connections that will hopefully lead to a bright future,” said Wallace State Career Services Coordinator Jamie Blackmon. “We hope to host the event in Tom Drake Coliseum next year because of high demand for Wallace State students.”
