HANCEVILLE – Wallace State’s Alumni Association and the Student Government Association are teaming up for a fun-filled “Yard Party” spring event on Thursday, April 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event is set to take place between the Bailey Center and Student Center and will consist of individual and team competitions, live music and a food truck provided by Wallace State’s Academy of Culinary Arts.
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to register as individuals or teams for a handful of games, including horseshoes, hula hoop, pedestal joust, volleyball, cornhole and dodgeball. Volleyball and dodgeball teams can be made up of six individuals while cornhole teams are made up of two people.
On-campus talent will provide live music during the “Yard Party,” and the Wallace State Academy of Culinary Arts will sell fish tacos, boardwalk fries, barbecue sandwiches and cheesecake on a stick from a food truck. An ice cream truck, Sno Biz shaved ice and popcorn will also be available in addition to chair massages.
To register for the events or for further information, contact LaDonna Allen at 256.352.8071 or at ladonna.allen@wallacestate.edu. Prospective teams are asked to register by April 3.
