Wallace State Invites Poetry Submissions for National Poetry Month

HANCEVILLE, Ala. –In celebration of National Poetry Month, Wallace State Community College in Hanceville is seeking submissions of original poetry from students, employees and community members for publication in The Mane Issue and on the college’s Arts in April webpage.
Submissions should be emailed to communications@wallacestate.edu and must include the author’s name, email address, city and state of residence, and phone number for verification purposes.
There are no limitations on length or structure, only that the work be original and appropriate for wide distribution.
Video and audio submissions of individuals reciting their own work will be accepted as well as text submissions.
National Poetry Month was inaugurated by the Academy of American Poets in 1996 to celebrate poetry and its vital place in American culture.
