Priority Online Registration for Summer Semester at Wallace State Community College Begins April 29
Hanceville, Ala.– Summer Semester registration at Wallace State Community College in Hanceville beings Monday, April 29, with the opening of priority online registration.
Students with 45 or more earned credit hours at Wallace State may register online at www.wallacestate.edu beginning at 8 a.m. on April 29. Instructions are available at the Register Now tab on the Wallace State website.
Students with 30 or more hours may register beginning Wednesday, May 1, at 8 a.m. Those with 15 or more earned Wallace State credit hours may register beginning Friday, May 3, at 8 a.m. All other students may begin registering on Monday, May 6, at 8 a.m. Registration on campus also begins Monday, May 13.
Selected orientation classes will meet Thursday and Friday, May 23 and 24. Regular and Mini-term I classes begin Tuesday, May 28.
Tuition and fees are due Wednesday, May 22, and daily thereafter. Late registration and the drop/add period continue through May 28.
Two special sessions are also scheduled this summer. A Technical Physics course will be offered during a two-week interim term that begins on May 10 and ends on May 25. The GAP program for recent high school graduates who want to get ahead on their college courses by taking lower level required courses during the summer will run from May 28 to June 27.
Mini Term II begins on July 2 and registration can be completed during the registration period that begins April 29, or on July 2.
Summer classes are available on campus during the day and evening as well as online. The college also offers classes at four off-campus instructional sites – at Hayden High School in Hayden, Addison High School in Addison, J.B. Pennington in Blountsville, and Brewer High School in Somerville. A schedule of classes and online registration information is available at www.wallacestate.edu.

Health programs of study at Wallace State include Child Development, Clinical Laboratory Technician, Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, Diagnostic Imaging, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Emergency Medical Services, Gerontology, Health Information Technology, Human Services, Massage Therapy, Medical Assistant, Registered and Practical Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Pharmacy Technology, Physical Therapist Assistant, Sleep Lab Technologist, Respiratory Therapy. Wallace State’s technical programs include Agricultural Production and Horticulture, Automotive Manufacturing, Collision Repair, Automotive Service Technology, Airplane and Helicopter Pilot Certification, Culinary Arts, Cosmetology, Diesel Mechanics, Drafting and Design, Electronics, Heating & Air Conditioning, Precision Machining and Computer Numerical Control, Tool and Die Technology, Upholstery and Welding.
Wallace State also offers associate degrees in Business Education, Business Management and Supervision, Computer Science, Criminal Justice — with Law Enforcement, Cyber Security and Forensic Investigation options; Graphic Design (or Visual Communications), and Paralegal studies, as well as Associate in Arts and Science degrees with concentrations in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Music Education, Pre-Engineering, Religious Studies, and Sports Medicine. Wallace State will be closed on Monday, May 27, for Memorial Day. Beginning June 3 most offices will be open Monday through Thursday and closed on Friday during the summer.
