Upcoming Wallace State Continuing Education Classes
HANCEVILLE, Ala. – The Continuing Education Department at Wallace State Community College announces the following upcoming course:
ServSafe Test-Prep and Certification offered at Wallace State
Wallace State Training for Business and Industry will provide a ServSafe Test preparation and certification course on April 30, May 6 and May 7, from 5 to 9 pm. in the Culinary Arts building on campus. Participants will gain valuable knowledge in the following areas: sanitation, the flow of food, purchasing and receiving, storing foods, safety, food preparation, facilities and equipment, regulatory agencies and inspection, and crisis management. The ServSafe program is designed specifically for food-handling employees of restaurants, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, daycares, and other food service professionals. The intensive course is conducted in three sessions, ending with the certification exam. Participants must attend both classes in order to take the certification exam. The course fee is $150, which includes textbooks and the certification exam.
