Wallace State Choral Groups Take D.C. by Storm
HANCEVILLE, Ala.–The Wallace State Concert Choir and Singers visited the nation’s Capital on their spring tour. The Singers drew a crowd of bystanders to their 1:15 p.m. performance at the Lincoln Memorial on a beautiful spring day last Saturday. On Monday night, April 22, the Concert Choir earned a standing ovation for their performance at the Kennedy Center. The Wallace State choral groups were participants in the 2013 Washington D.C. International Music Festival. When not performing, the students toured monuments, museums and other historic sights. They also wowed patrons during an impromptu performance at Zorba’s Greek Restaurant in Dupont Circle. Links to video clips from their performances as well as interviews with choir members and choral director Tiffany Richter can be found on Wallace State’s website, www.wallacestate.edu.
