ACT prep workshops offered by WSCC Alumni Association

HANCEVILLE, Ala. – Students planning to take the ACT can take advantage of an opportunity provided by the Wallace State Community College Alumni Associate to prepare for the college entrance exam.
The Association will hosts workshops in the summer and fall for students anticipating the exam. The summer workshop will be held on July 25 from 1 to 5 p.m., and the fall workshop will be held on Sept. 19, from 5 to 8:30 p.m.
The workshops are geared to help students learn strategies to improve their test-taking approach and provide instruction on test components including science reasoning, math, English and reading. Also included will be tips on how to prepare for the test, what to expect on test day and practice exam questions in each subject.
The $75 fee for the summer and fall workshops includes a copy of the Princeton Review “Cracking the ACT” take-home workbook to continue practice at home. An $85 fee for the fall workshop includes the workbook plus an accompanying CD.
