Brittany Kay Robinson named 2014 Wallace State Homecoming Queen
HANCEVILLE – Wallace State’s Brittany Kay Robinson of Sylacauga is Wallace State Community College’s 2014 Homecoming Queen. She was crowned queen during halftime of the men’s basketball game Monday night versus Snead State.
Robinson, a sophomore majoring in general studies, was elected by her peers as Homecoming Queen. Robinson is very active on campus, serving as a member of Wallace State’s Student Government Association (SGA). She is also a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Mu Alpha Theta.
Robinson plans to transfer to UAB from Wallace State and pursue a major in biomedical engineering with a minor in pre-med. Her long-term goal is to become a pediatric oncologist.
Seth Elliott Fuller escorted Robinson during the halftime festivities.
Other members of the 2014 Homecoming Court included Shelby Cranford, an elementary education major from Grant; Kassidy Faith Fricks, a pre-nursing major from Addison, and Kimberlie Payne-Lesley, a general studies major from Plainview High, who is originally from Seattle.
Cindy Mallard, Wallace State’s Director of Transitional Learning, crowned Robinson. Mallard is a Wallace State alum, who played softball and basketball at the college.
Wallace State’s SGA sponsored the homecoming activities.
