Wallace State workshops offer life coaching for college, money, stress and time
HANCEVILLE, Ala. — As young people get ready to go out on their own, learning how to navigate the process for choosing and applying to a college and how to manage their time and money can be daunting tasks. A series of Life Coaching Workshops offered at Wallace State Community College will offer students in high school and college assistance in dealing with those issues.
The first of three Life Coaching workshops will begin on July 10 with College Prep as the subject matter. The workshop will show participants how to navigate college through career exploration, ACT, researching colleges, admissions, financial aid and registration.
The second workshop will be on Money Management, and will be held on July 17. The workshop will teach participants about budgeting, bank accounts, taxes, insurance and credit cards.
The final workshop on July 24will be on Stress and Time Management. Participants will learn techniques to manage stress and time management skills to make every minute count.
All of the classes will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on the ninth floor of the Bailey Center on the Hanceville campus. The workshops are $25 each.
