Aderholt Announces District Art Competition Winners
Hanceville, Ala. — Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-04) today released the list of winners from the 2015 4th Congressional District Art Competition.
This morning Congressman Aderholt was on hand at Wallace State Community College in Hanceville, Alabama as the winners from the 4th Congressional District Art Competition were announced.
“This is a great event where we get to recognize art students in our district for their great accomplishments,” Aderholt said. “Sometimes it is not always well publicized but we hope this brings attention to the great artists who are among us here in our own congressional district.”
“I would also like to thank Wallace State Community College and Dr. Vicki Hawsey Karolewics for all of their help and the use of the beautiful Burrow Center for the Fine and Performing Arts.”
This year’s “Best of Show” winner was Cadley Jackson, a senior at Guntersville High School. Her pencil drawing titled “Reflections on my Childhood” will hang for the next year inside the U.S. Capitol complex in Washington. In addition to this honor, Ms. Jackson will also get to travel to Washington. She is also receiving a scholarship from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
