Check out offerings through Wallace State’s Continuing Education program
HANCEVILLE, Ala. — Local high school and college students need not be the only ones making plans to start classes this fall. Area residents with interests in scrapbooking, cake decorating, ballroom dancing and more can get ready for educational opportunities, as well as professionals seeking certification courses or new skills to add to their resume.
The Wallace State Community College Continuing Education Department has a long list of classes to during the fall semester. Some classes will be held on the Hanceville campus, while others are available through online services.
“We strive to provide a wide variety of opportunities that will attract individuals who want to learn a new craft or those in business and industry who need to update their certifications or add skills,” said Melinda Edwards, Dean of Institutional Outreach, who directs Continuing Education at Wallace State. Most of the classes are weekly classes that meet no more than two to four times. Classes geared toward business, industry and healthcare can last several weeks, depending on the course hours required.
Below is a listing of the courses planned during the Fall 2015 semester. For more information about these and other Continuing Education programs, call 256.352.7826.
