Wallace State’s Adult Education program offering GED practice test for $1 through Oct. 31
HANCEVILLE, ALA. – Wallace State’s Adult Education program is participating in a national initiative, which allows individuals the opportunity to complete the GED (general education development) Ready practice test for $1 until Oct. 31.
“The national office is trying to calm the fears of those thinking the GED test is too hard to pass. We want as many people as possible to have the opportunity to attempt the test, get started in classes, and get it finished,” said Wallace State Director of Adult Education Kelley Jones. “If one isn’t ready to take the GED test by November 1st, we have a program available where a student can start GED Prep classes and take the GED Ready Practice Test for free, plus earn a voucher toward the cost of the GED exam.”
Subjects covered on the GED test are Math, Science, Social Studies and Reasoning through Language Arts. Individuals can expect to answer a combination of multiple choice, drag and drop, hot spot (select an area), fill in the blank, short answer and extended response questions on the test.
Wallace State Adult Education classes are taught on campus, online and at selected off-campus sites in Blount, Cullman, Morgan and Winston Counties. Off-campus sites include churches, community centers, correctional facilities and rehabilitation centers.
Students must be at least 17 years old and not enrolled in a K-12 program to register with the Adult Education program.
