Wallace State hosts 2016 Spring Fling for students on Tuesday

HANCEVILLE, ALA. – Wallace State’s Student Services and Success Coaches hosted the 2016 Spring Fling on Tuesday at the Bevill Building parking lot.
On a picture-perfect day, Wallace State students were able to participate in various entertaining activities, including cornhole, human Hungry Hippos and on an inflatable bungee run, and door prizes were given away. Free cotton candy was available to Wallace State students, faculty and staff, and the college’s BASS Club sold BBQ sandwiches for lunch.
Wallace State’s Relay For Life team also sold hacks at a car, allowing students to relieve some mid-term stress by taking swings in an effort to “Beat Out Cancer.” Peek Auto Parks in Cullman donated the car, and Wallace State’s Auto Collision department painted targets, including a “Beat Out Cancer” one, and loaned goggles and sledgehammers.
Multiple Wallace State organizations also set up tables at the event, promoting the opportunities each offers students throughout the course of a semester.
