Summer Day Camp offered at Wallace State for area students in grades K-7

HANCEVILLE, Ala. — Wallace State Community College’s Continuing Education program is offering Summer Day Camp for area children entering kindergarten through seventh grade in the fall. Divided into three age groups, the camp will be held for children in K-2 on June 20 and for children in grades 3-5 and 6-7 on June 21.
The camps will be from 8 a.m. to noon each day, with a variety of activities offered to interest all ages. The cost for the camp is $40 per day.
Throughout each day, the students will be offered a choice of activities and experiences. Each child can choose four activities from the camp schedule in which to participate.
For children entering grades K-2 the schedule for the day includes a choice between Party Like a Princess or Totally Terrific Tales at 8 a.m., Explore Music or Little Cooking at 9 a.m., Create With Art at 10 a.m., and Planting Seeds or Jr. Medic at 11 a.m.
For children entering grades 3-5, the schedule includes a choice between Planting Seeds or Wild About Art at 8 a.m., Digital Photography, Builder’s Choice or Going Back in Time at 9 a.m., Girls & Guys on Broadway or Jr. Medic at 10 a.m., and Explore Music or A Little Cooking at 11 a.m.
Children entering grades 6-7 can choose between Going Back in Time or Digital Photography at 8 a.m., Wild About Art or A Little Cooking at 9 a.m., Watercolor or a Burrow Museum Tour at 10 a.m., and Jr. Medic or Girls and Guys on Broadway at 11 a.m.
Each student registered for Camp Wallace will receive a free T-shirt. Snacks will also be provided.
