December 1 informational meeting set for CNA, Phlebotomy courses at Wallace State

HANCEVILLE, Ala. — The Wallace State Community College Continuing Education Program will host an informational session on Thursday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m., in Room 511 of the James C. Bailey Center for persons interested in learning about the Phlebotomy Technician and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) courses being offered in Spring 2017.
These non-credit courses are offered each semester for individuals seeking professional certification in either phlebotomy or as a certified nursing assistant as a way to obtain entry-level employment in the medical field.
The Phlebotomy Technician course is a 7-week program, with the first of two sessions being offered Tuesdays and Thursdays, January 24-April 6, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dates for the second session will be announced at a later date. The cost for the course is $1,587.50, plus $11.50 insurance fee, and includes the textbook and exam fee.
The CNA course is a 10-week program offered January 23-April 5. The cost for the course is $790, plus $15 insurance fee, and includes the textbook and exam fee.
