2017 AHSAA Northwest Regional Basketball Tournament at Wallace State-Hanceville Feb. 16-18, Feb. 20-22

HANCEVILLE, ALA. – The 2017 Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) Northwest Regional Basketball Tournament will be held Thursday, February 16 through Saturday, Feb. 18 and Monday, February 20 through Wednesday, February 22 at Wallace State Community College in Hanceville.
Fifty-six teams will compete in 42 games at Tom Drake Coliseum to produce the AHSAA State Tournament qualifiers. One boys’ team and one girls’ team from each class – 1A through 7A – will advance from the Northwest Region.

Admission is $8 per entry or $30 for a weeklong pass. Parking is $5.

Three other regional tournaments are taking place around the state this week at Jacksonville State, the Garrett Coliseum in Montgomery, and at the Dothan Civic Center to produce the northeast, central and south qualifiers. The final four teams will meet in the state tournament at Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center next week.
