Hanceville Mayor Kenneth Nail signs resolution recognizing Wallace State during Community College Month
HANCEVILLE, ALA. – Hanceville Mayor Kenneth Nail recently signed a resolution, recognizing Wallace State Community College during Community College Month.
Nail signed the document with Wallace State President Dr. Vicki Karolewics present at the Hanceville City Hall.
“We are so blessed in Hanceville to be the home of Wallace State. Under Dr. (Vicki) Karolewics’ leadership, Wallace State has definitely become the jewel of the junior college system, not only in Alabama, but also the nation,” said Nail, who is currently serving his third term.
The resolution recognizes Wallace State as a pacesetter among community colleges in the United States, ranked as one of the fastest growing community colleges in America, in the top 10 percent of all community colleges according to student success outcomes, named a Nursing Center of Excellence, and an All-Steinway School, among many other accolades.
Also in celebration of Community College Month, Wallace State students and employees attended the annual Alabama Community College System (ACCS) Celebration Day in Montgomery last week.
