Wallace State conducts “See You at the Pole” event at both campuses
HANCEVILLE, ALA. – Wallace State’s Campus Ministries invited students and employees to congregate at the college’s flag pole on Wednesday in observance of “See You at the Pole” day, a national day of prayer and devotion across the nation.
The same opportunity was offered at the Wallace State-Oneonta campus.
Jay Terry, a sophomore nursing student, led a brief devotion in Hanceville for the second year in a row, beginning his presentation from Matthew 6 and speaking about the importance of character in today’s society. Individuals in attendance formed a circle and offered individual prayers if they chose to do so.
Wallace State students, faculty and staff prayed as a group for approximately 15 minutes in front of the Harlan G. Allen Math Building.
The global theme of this year’s SYATP is “Fix Our Eyes on Jesus,” citing Hebrews 2:12.
