Gov. Kay Ivey to attend Groundbreaking for new Wallace State-Oneonta Center

Oneonta, ALA. — Governor Kay Ivey and state and local elected officials will join the City of Oneonta and Blount County to celebrate a groundbreaking for the Wallace State Oneonta Classroom and Workforce Development Construction Project to be located on the corner of First Avenue and First Street in downtown Oneonta. The project will consist of a total of 20,000 square feet of new construction dedicated to the growing number of students and the expanding curriculum offered at Wallace State-Oneonta. The facility will also include multi-use classrooms for workforce development and other community and economic development opportunities.

Members of the media and the public are invited to attend this special event celebrating the first higher education building to be constructed in Oneonta.
