Wallace State’s Communications and Marketing Department wins eight medallion awards at NCMPR District 2 Conference
HANCEVILLE, ALA. –Wallace State Community College in Hanceville was recently recognized by the National Council for the Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) at the organization’s district conference in Louisville, Ky.
Wallace State earned eight Medallion awards, including gold awards for the college’s promotional brand video and successful recruitment and or marketing program. Regarding Wallace State’s promotional video, the judges said they loved the graduates’ testimonials and it was very motivating. The gold for successful recruitment or marketing program was for Wallace State’s Pathways Project.
Wallace State also earned awards for its website and its television/video advertisement series as well as for its class schedule, academic catalog, print advertisement (single or series) and novelty advertising (WSCC museum coaster). Wallace State led the state in awards received.

NCMPR represents marketing and public relations professionals at community, technical and junior colleges. As one of the fastest-growing affiliates of the American Association of Community Colleges, NCMPR today has more than 1,550 members from more than 600 colleges across the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. There are seven NCMPR district councils. District 2, NCMPR’s largest district, includes Alabama’s community colleges, and is made up of colleges from the 11 Southeastern states, Bermuda and the Bahamas.
