Wallace State Child Development holding information session at Oneonta Center
ONEONTA, Ala. — The Wallace State Community College Child Development program will host an informational meeting on Thursday, April 12 at 4 p.m., at the Oneonta Campus Center.
The Child Development program at Wallace State can be completed entirely online, but many classes within the curriculum can also be completed on the Oneonta campus.
During the meeting, program director Dr. Marcie Hill will provide information about the program and credentials it offers, explain the difference between elementary education and early childhood education, list job prospects in the field of early childhood education, and share information about scholarships available specifically for those who already work with young children.
Anyone interested in teaching children, education majors, people interested in starting a daycare center, public school aides, and those currently working in the field are welcome. High school students interested in attending the program as Dual Enrollment students may also attend, as dual enrollment funds are now available for qualified high school students.
