Alumni Association selling flowers, T-shirts for Class of 2018 graduates

HANCEVILLE, Ala. — Family and friends of upcoming graduates of the Class of 2018 at Wallace State Community College can show their support for them and the college at the same time by purchasing bouquets of flowers and/or a Class of 2018 T-shirt to present to the new graduates at the May 11 commencement exercises.
The Wallace State Alumni Association has opened up online orders for roses in half-dozen and dozen bouquets. The one-dozen graduation bouquets with baby’s breath are offered in a red, white, pink, and yellow, wrapped in florist paper and ribbon for $35. Simple bouquets of red dozen or half-dozen roses are offered for $30 and $20 respectively. And a white Class of 2018 T-shirt is offered for $25 for sizes small through 2X-Large.
A percentage of the proceeds will be returned to Wallace State Alumni Association for scholarships.
A limited number of bouquets and T-shirts will be offered at the May 11 commencement exercises, but to guarantee color and size selection, it is suggested orders be made in advance.
To place an order, visit www.thecommencementgroup.com/wallace-state/. Orders placed on the site will be available for pick up at Tom Drake Coliseum the evening of the commencement.
Wallace State will hold graduation exercises at 6 p.m., Friday, May 11, in the Tom Drake Coliseum. The college will provide a live stream of the ceremony on its YouTube channel.
