Wallace State’s Communications and Marketing Department earns awards at ACCSPRA Conference
HANCEVILLE, ALA. – Wallace State Community College’s Communications and Marketing Department won a total of 14 awards this year at the 2018 Alabama Community College System Public Relations Association (ACCSPRA) Pyramid Awards Competition.
A leader in the competition, Wallace State was presented the Best in Show Award for its History Book, a celebration of the college’s 50 years of service, along with 13 additional awards. Awards presented to Wallace included those for video advertisement, brochure, catalog, schedule, social media (for its new LiveChat service), news writing (for a story on welding student Grayson Phillips), news placement, student success story (for a story on pilot Aaron Mathis), postcard, promotional advertising, outdoor advertising, and special events publications.
ACCSPRA is a nonprofit organization whose purpose and objectives are to enhance the image, strengthen, and promote awareness and public perception of the Alabama Community College System.
The ACCSPRA Pyramid Awards honor the best efforts among the Alabama Community College System’s PR, marketing and recruiting community.
Members of the Wallace State Communications and Marketing Department include Kristen Holmes, Gail Crutchfield, Russell Moore, Jesse Cobb and Anna Parrish Beard. Moore and Holmes were re-elected to the ACCSPRA board for 2018-19. Moore will serve as president-elect of the organization for the coming year.
