Wallace State Alumni Association hosting holiday décor themed painting party
HANCEVILLE, Ala. —After the success of its first Painting a Future fundraiser, the Wallace State Alumni Association is hosting a second event on Monday, Oct. 15 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., on the 12th floor of the Bailey Center.
“We were blessed to have several dozen individuals show up at our last Painting a Future fundraiser, with many of those in attendance and some who could not make it requesting we hold more events,” said LaDonna Allen, WSCC Alumni Coordinator. “So, with the holidays approaching, we’ve planned another, this time featuring door hanger options for fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.”
Baylee Johnson of Just Crafting Around will supply wooden cutouts in the shapes of a boll of cotton, football, pumpkin/snowman, turkey and Santa, painting supplies, instructions, finishing ribbons/bows and hangers. The fee is $25, with pre-registration encouraged to choose the shape you would like to paint for your door hanger. The deadline to register is Oct. 10. Drinks and snacks will be provided. All proceeds will benefit student scholarships.
