Mommy and Me Painting Luau offered by Wallace State Alumni Association
HANCEVILLE, Ala. — The Wallace State Community College Alumni Association is inviting mothers and children in the area to attend a Mommy and Me Painting Luau, where the mother and child each will get to create a wooden wall hanger they can display in their home or give as a gift.
The Alumni Association is offering two days for the event to meet the demand of the popular class. The classes will be held on June 24 and June 25 from 6 to 9 p.m., on the 12th floor of the James C. Bailey Center. Cost is $35 for one adult and one child. Each additional child is $10 and children must be at least three years old to participate.
The adult participants will receive a circle shape to paint, while the child will paint a surfboard. All supplies, instruction from Baylee Johnson of Just Crafting Around, and finishing ribbon, bows and hangers will be included. Participants will also receive a goody bag, use a photo booth that will be on hand, and enjoy a luau party with games and refreshments.
“This will be an evening full of creativity and fun to benefit student scholarships,” said Ladonna Allen, Alumni Association Coordinator. “With the kids out of school for summer, this is the perfect opportunity to create a fun summer door hanger, spend quality time with your child and have a fun luau-themed night. The best part is there is no mess to clean up!”
Pre-registration is required. Participants may register at www.wsccalumni.org/luau619. They may register and pay through the site, or print off a form and pay with check or cash by mail or in person.
