Wallace State Community College conducts Sept. 11 memorial

HANCEVILLE, ALA. – Wallace State Dean of Students Dr. Ryan Smith led a memorial this morning, honoring the lives lost and specific families affected forever in the United States on Sept. 11, 2001, after the terrorist attacks in New York City and Pennsylvania. Smith also recounted other details from that infamous day.

Wallace State’s Chief of Police Tyler Roden led the Pledge of Allegiance and Kirk Nugent, Director of Information Technology, performed “America the Beautiful” during the memorial.

All Wallace State faculty, staff and students were invited to the remembrance.
