No. 16 Wallace State volleyball moves to 16-0 on the season

HANCEVILLE, ALA. – Wallace State’s 16th-ranked volleyball team is undefeated this season, not losing a single set through 16 matches.

The Lions are 16-0 overall and 5-0 in Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) action after notching a 25-15, 25-13, 25-13, victory over Southern Union on Sunday.

Freshman Diamond Jones led the way with 13 kills for Wallace State, Harlee Kate Reid finished with 12 kills, seven digs and a pair of aces and sophomore Karlee Hale added six kills and six digs.

Anna Renshaw finished with a team-high 23 assists for the Lions and KaLea Davis added 11 assists. Lauren Seibert compiled a team-high 10 digs and Amryi-Grace Paris added four kills and four digs.

In a non-conference match last Friday, the Lions defeated Pearl River (Miss.) CC, winning 25-8, 25-16, 25-19.

Paris had eight kills in the match, Reid finished with 14 digs and seven blocks, Jones had five kills and Mattrice Harris contributed six blocks and four kills.

Tori Walker had 15 digs for the Lions and Seibert added 13.

Davis finished with 18 assists and five digs, while Renshaw compiled 15 assists.

Wallace State continues conference play on Wednesday, hosting Gadsden State at 6 p.m.
