Wallace State’s F.A.M.E. students to pledge safety commitments at Sept. 30 ceremony

HANCEVILLE, ALA. – Wallace State students enrolled in the Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (F.A.M.E.) program will announce and identify their personal safety commitments at a special banner signing on Monday, Sept. 30 at the Advanced Visualization Center, beginning at 10 a.m.

Wallace State’s Mechatronics program has 16 students enrolled in the F.A.M.E. program as part of its inaugural class. The FAME program is a five-semester program, allowing students the opportunity to earn wages while completing an associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance. Over a two-year span, students can earn as much as $33,500, spending two days per week in the classroom and three days per week in the industry.

Wallace State has partnered with the following programs for the college’s F.A.M.E. students: ZeroRPM, Yutaka Technologies, Inc., Sonoco Reels and Plugs, Remington, C&A Automation, Reliance Worldwide Corporation, Kamtek, Cerrowire and Louisiana-Pacific Corporation.
