Wallace State elects Student Government Association (SGA) officers for new academic year
HANCEVILLE, ALA. – Wallace State’s Student Government Association (SGA) has four new officers for the 2019-2020 academic year after a campus-wide vote.
Brooke Norris is president, Grant Sikes is vice president, Mackenzie Fields is secretary and Haley Self-Tumlin is treasurer.
Norris is a Good Hope graduate, majoring in Business Administration. Norris, who also contributes weekly to The Mane Issue Student News, plans to transfer to Athens State and pursue a degree in Business Marketing.
Sikes, a Cullman native, is a Paralegal major, enrolled in the Wallace State Fast Track program. Upon completion at Wallace State, Sikes’ goals are to transfer to the University of Alabama and earn a bachelor’s degree in English before applying to law school.
Fields is from Oakman in Walker County. Fields, a freshman, hopes to enter Wallace State’s Sonography program. Fields’ other interests include archery, pageants, reading and cooking and is an avid animal lover.
Self-Tumlin, a Warrior native, is pursuing an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology and Building Construction at Wallace State. She has ultimate plans to transfer to Athens State and major in Post-Secondary Technical Education.
Dakota Nichols, a Wallace State Talent Search counselor, is the organization’s employee sponsor.
