MEDIA ADVISORY – Wallace State to unveil new mascot on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m.
HANCEVILLE, ALA. – Wallace State Community College will unveil its new mascot costume and name on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m., at the James C. Bailey Center Auditorium. We invite the media to this event.
Wallace State students, faculty and staff selected the new look earlier this semester in a campus-wide online vote. In addition to the new design, Wallace State will bid farewell to the Roary name.
Wallace State’s mascot is a frequent visitor to multiple campus events and within the community, including all home basketball games. Wallace State’s basketball teams begin the 2019-2020 season on Friday, Nov. 1.
