Wallace State Alumni Association hosting Santa’s Workshop Painting Fundraiser
HANCEVILLE, Ala. — The Wallace State Community College Alumni Association will host a Santa’s Workshop Painting Fundraiser on Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., on the 12th floor of the James C. Bailey Center, where little elves age 4 to 16 and adults of all ages can create a custom door hanger for the holidays.
Baylee Johnson of Just Crafting Around will lead the session, which will benefit student scholarships at Wallace State. Santa’s Workshop will be a magical night for the entire family to paint and celebrate Christmas.
Included in the fee is a holiday-themed wood door hanger of choice, finishing wire and bow, all paint and material, instruction, refreshments, a photo booth and more. Children will have other crafts, including ornaments and Christmas card-making as well as their own door hanger to paint to keep for themselves or give as a gift.
“There will be many fun activities and keepsakes with no mess to clean up,” said LaDonna Allen, WSCC Alumni Coordinator. “There may even be a visit from Santa.”
The cost is $25 for adults and $12 for children 4-16. Participants will be able to choose one of four shapes for their door hangers: Santa Boots in Chimney, Snow Globe, Stocking and Snowman.
Space is limited, so pre-registration is required. Register at www.wsccalumni.org/santa19. For more information, contact Allen at 256.352.8071 or ladonna.allen@wallacestate.edu.
