Wallace State hosting Drive-Thru Graduation Celebration for Class of 2020

HANCEVILLE, ALA. – On the eve of what would have been the original date for the Class of 2020 graduation ceremony, Wallace State Community College will host a Drive-Thru Graduation Celebration on the Hanceville campus.

From 10 to 11:30 a.m., Thursday, May 7, all 2020 Wallace State graduates are invited to drive on to campus and celebrate with college President Dr. Vicki Karolewics, faculty and staff.

Along with receiving their diploma cover, as they would when walking across the commencement stage, graduates will also receive their tassel and a Chick-fil-A sandwich.

The traditional 2020 Commencement exercises have been postponed until Friday, July 31, so this will give graduates another way to celebrate their achievement.

Graduates are asked to enter campus at the College Drive entrance on the south end (across from Taco Bell). From there they will pull into the parking lot of the Burrow Center for the Fine and Performing Arts where Dr. Karolewics, faculty and staff will be waiting.

Appropriate social distancing and other health and safety protocols will be observed.
