2020 Census can be completed at Wallace State’s library’s computer labs
HANCEVILLE, ALA. – Wallace State Community College’s library’s computer labs are the perfect spot for students local citizens to complete the 2020 United States Census.
Library hours are currently 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Once the Fall 2020 semester begins on Aug. 17, the library is open until 9 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Participating in the census is vital to many programs that impact Alabama, including areas of healthcare, food, education, roads and bridges, congressional representation, and many other avenues.
The 2020 Census can be completed at www.my2020census.gov or Alabama residents can visit https://census.alabama.gov/
The census deadline is Sept. 30.
Wallace State’s campus, including the library, continues to follow the protocols of the CDC, Alabama Department of Public Health, and other state and national authorities, regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. All visitors and students are required to complete a self-screening upon entering campus and masks are required.
Library patrons must also adhere to the campus safety guidelines. The first and second floor computer labs and genealogy collection are currently open to the public. The upper floors are closed until further notice.
