2020 North Alabama BEST Robotics competition postponed
HANCEVILLE, ALA. – The 2020 North Alabama BEST (Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology) Robotics competition scheduled for this fall has been postponed because of the restrictions and precautions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. The North Alabama BEST competition is hosted each October at Wallace State’s Tom Drake Coliseum.
Incision Decision was the original game day theme for 2020, and it has been pushed back to next October.
“We look forward to a strong return in 2021,” said Todd Hardman, Wallace State’s Engineering Technology Department Chair and the North Alabama BEST Director. “The good news is the folks at BEST national are working hard to develop online game plans to keep students engaged in BEST this fall. You can register for those activities through their national registry.”
Teams can register here: https://registry.bestrobotics.org/
Athens Bible School won its first North Alabama BEST competition last October. Marshall Technical Academy also advanced from Wallace State to the BEST regional event.
