Wallace State Communications & Marketing earns six NCMPR Medallion Awards
HANCEVILLE, Ala. — The Wallace State Community College Communications and Marketing Department earned six Medallion Awards from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations in District 2, the most of any college in the Alabama Community College System represented in the awards.
Awards were presented for Excellence in Writing for a story spotlighting Wallace State graduates working on the front lines during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, for Postcards, the 2019-2020 Catalog, the 2019 Annual Report, the Summer 2020 Schedule and digital ads for Adult Education.
Wallace State was among the organization’s top award getters with six awards. Motlow State Community College in Tenn. earned seven awards.
Medallion Awards acknowledged work completed between July 1, 2019 and June 30, 2020. The awards recognize outstanding achievement and design in communications at community college in NCMPRs seven districts. District 2 is made up of colleges within the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, as well as Bermuda, British Virgin Islands and The Bahamas.
The Communications and Marketing Department staff at Wallace State includes director Kristen Holmes, Jesse Cobb, Gail Crutchfield, Russell Moore and Anna Parrish.
