MEDIA ADVISORY – Truckworx Kenworth donating wrapped truck to Wallace State’s Diesel by Distance program on Thursday, Sept. 9, at 9 a.m.
HANCEVILLE, ALA. – Wallace State Community College’s Diesel Technology program and Truckworx Kenworth have maintained a consistent partnership for multiple years. The heavy-duty truck dealer is now investing in the college’s new Diesel by Distance program.
Truckworx Kenworth is donating a wrapped truck to the Diesel by Distance program on Thursday morning, celebrating the partnership and allowing those in attendance to network.
Wallace State’s Diesel by Distance program gives students the flexibility to learn the program’s course objectives and theory online in addition to watching live lab sessions. Instruction occurs in an online format, complemented by virtual reality labs and periodic competency demonstrations on campus scheduled at the student’s convenience, such as on weekends or evenings.
Truckworx, founded in 1978, is family owned and operated, representing Kenworth, Hino and Isuzu commercial trucks, Blue Bird school buses and six heavy-duty trailer manufacturers. Truckworx features 11 locations across Alabama and Mississippi, including in Birmingham and Madison.
The media is invited to Thursday’s attend.
