Secular Union among newest Wallace State student organizations

One of Wallace State’s newest campus organizations is the Secular Union.
The Secular Union is a group of students devoted to encouraging acceptance, dialogue, goodwill, peace and understanding with everyone and working to eliminate the issues of intolerance and freedom of speech across the nation.
Plans for the Secular Union include coordinating with fellow organizations like Campus Ministries on community service projects, and providing educational programs that bring entertainment and speakers on understanding people of different cultures, ideas, religions, etc. to campus.
The group is expected to begin activities this fall. The Secular Union will host a kickoff party on Friday, July 28 at CW Day Park in Hanceville from noon to 3 p.m. There will be pizza, games and music at the event.
For more information about the Secular Union and to join, contact sponsor Robert Davis at 256.352.8265 or robert.davis@wallacestate.edu
The Secular Union is one of dozens of organizations on campus that students can join. Other recently added clubs include the Rotary-affiliated Rotaract Club for college students, and the popular BASS club team.
