Wallace State women’s golf wins Jefferson State Invitational

HANCEVILLE, ALA. – Wallace State’s women’s golf team won the Jefferson State Invitational at Oxmoor Valley this week, notching their second tournament championship this fall.
Wallace State freshman Michaela Bryan was the tournament’s low medalist, continuing her solid fall season. Bryan, a freshman from Tupelo, Miss., finished with a 19-over par 163 (85-78) for the title. Her 78 in the second round was tops among the field.
For Wallace State, sophomore Dalys Mullican finished fourth overall, carding a 175.
Annalee Stephens, last season’s Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) tournament low medalist, finished fifth with a 176 for the Lady Lions, while Anna Seahorn placed sixth with a 177.
Anna Williams rounded out the field for Wallace State, finishing with a 184.
Snead State was tournament runner-up, finishing with a 699. Calhoun placed third.
Wallace State women’s golf is the defending ACCC champion.
The Lady Lions also prevailed at the Marion Military Institute tournament this fall.
