Wallace State’s women’s basketball stays hot, winning three games in five days

HANCEVILLE, ALA. – Wallace State’s women’s basketball team reeled off its third win in five days at Tom Drake Coliseum on Sunday, earning an 83-72 victory over Columbia State.
Eight Wallace State players scored at least six points as the Lady Lions moved to 8-3 on the season.

Wallace State won its fourth straight game.
“It doesn’t matter who you play, winning three games in five days is a big feat, especially with our minds also being on finals. Our ladies came in and executed. They listen well and respond to what’s going on. I’m very proud of them,” said Wallace State interim women’s coach Jessica McBrayer. “One of our strengths is you don’t know who’s going to step up from game to game. Someone new comes off the bench for a spark, and that’s great for a coach. It was Miajah Bullock’s turn today.”
Wallace State jumped out to a 24-15 lead at the end of the first quarter and pushed it to 45-34 by halftime. The Lady Lions led 63-58 after three quarters.
