HANCEVILLE, AL—Wallace State Community College and Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. will announce a new partnership at an event at the Burrow Center on the campus of Wallace State Community College in Hanceville on Friday, November 30 at 8:30 a.m.
The partnership will include not only a co-op program for Wallace State students but also the donation of two new Mercedes cars to the Wallace State Auto Service Technology program to be used for training purposes. Through the cooperative education arrangement Mercedes-Benz will provide support for Wallace State students’ tuition and fees as well as an hourly rate of pay during their work at Mercedes and an allowance for housing while there.
Mercedes U.S. Vice-President Rolf Wrona will be in attendance at Friday’s event along with local dignitaries, Alabama Community College System representatives, and Wallace State administrators, faculty, staff and students.
