Wallace State’s men (1-1) open Thursday’s slate at 3 p.m., after splitting a pair of road games last week in Tennessee against Columbia State and Volunteer State. Coach John Meeks’ team finished 18-14 last season.
The Wallace State Lady Lions will follow at 5 p.m., after also opening the season with a road split last week. Wallace State’s women went 23-10 last season, finishing as state runner-up for the second year in a row under coach Ron Burdette.
The Regional Tip-off Challenge consolation game, featuring the boys’ teams from Butler and Cullman High Schools is set for 6:30 p.m., and the championship game between Huntsville and J.O. Johnson is at 8 p.m.
In Tuesday’s opening round at Wallace State, Huntsville was a 63-53 winner over Butler and J.O. Johnson defeated Cullman, 90-78.
