Wally unveiled as new Wallace State mascot

HANCEVILLE, ALA. – Wallace State Community College unveiled its new mascot costume and a return to the name Wally this afternoon.
Wally was introduced at the Bailey Center Auditorium by Wallace State President Dr. Vicki Karolewics in front of students, faculty and staff.
Wally, preceded Roary, and was voted a return by students to match the new look.
The new costume and name were voted on by Wallace State students, faculty and staff this semester in a campus-wide online vote.
Wallace State’s mascot is a frequent visitor to multiple campus events and within the community, including all home basketball games.
