Wallace State Alumni Association announces March events

HANCEVILLE – Wallace State Community College’s Alumni Association has variety of entertaining and worthwhile events planned for March.
On Friday, March 8, all antique enthusiasts are invited to join a “Pickin’ Adventure” to the American Pickers Antique Archeology Store and The Factory Arts Mall in Nashville. The trip is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Registration is $30, and tickets can be purchased at www.wsccalumni.org/pickin. The bus will depart campus at 7 a.m. from the Coliseum.
A “Preparing for the ACT” class is scheduled for Monday, March 11 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Room 116 of the Tom Bevill Health Building. The workshop is designed to help one prepare for the test and improve their test-taking approaches. It will provide a “brush up” on test components, including science reasoning, match, English, reading and writing practice exam questions. Registration is $75 and includes a Princeton Review Cracking the ACT take-home workbook for use after the workshop. Tickets can be purchased at www.wsccalumni.org/actprep.
On March 22, the Alumni Association will host a course on “How to set up a simple website,” facilitated by Wallace State’s Russell Gann of the Wallace State Advanced Visualization Center. Gann will provide simple insight to participants, no matter if one is looking to set up an e-commerce website or if they’re interested in creating a family or small informational website. Registration fee is $25 or $15 for Wallace State students.
